What an amazing weekend I have had with Silbermond. Not only winning the Intermediate Freestyle but also being awarded the John Lieutenant Memorial Trophy – this award is presented to the individual horse/rider combination obtaining the best two (2) official scores. Silbermond is a very special horse and we are having a lot of fun together. My huge thanks to his wonderful owners for allowing me the ride and for the incredible support they give me.
Here is the video of the freestyle:

What fun that was! So enjoyed the NSW State Championships. Spent a wonderful time with Silbermond and came away with two firsts in both our Elementary tests and the Elementary Championship. Love riding this horse. Thank you so much to the amazing owners for giving me the ride – it was very special.

Another inspirational ride from Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro to win the Kur at Aachen with an amazing score of 87.9%. Only disappointment was that Totilas had to withdraw, after his wins in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special, so we missed out on seeing that ride.
If you haven’t caught up with the video of the winning ride from the Olympic Champs here it is. For all you fans of Irish music you will enjoy this one….

Have you been watching Aachen? Amazing performances and so good to see Totilas back in such form.
Matthias Rath and Totilas won the Grand Prix (82.30%) and Grand Prix Special (84.549%) at Aachen, beating both Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro, and Helen Langehanenberg and Damon Hill.
Really enjoyed Isabel Werth and her new mare, Bella Rose. They are going to be challenging again for sure.
It’s a shame Totilas is withdrawn from the Kur

Congratulations to Dressage New South Wales for running an awesome January competition in sweltering conditions at Clarendon. The “new look” Clarendon comp exceeded expectations and we were well looked after with much water, free tea and coffee, and even iceblocks (how good was that – and especially welcomed by spectators and riders). Not forgetting the free carrots for all horses and ponies.
Cederic was awesome and is coming on beautifully. Very happy rider indeed. He scored 70.227% in the Elementary 3.1 and 64.583% in the Elementary 3.2.
Great to catch up with everybody.

Incredible performance from Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro at Olympia in the Grand Prix Freestyle with a new world record of 93.27%! Click here or on the photo to watch them…
They just get better and better. Stunning to watch.

Sadly my beautiful mare Cassie (Yardley Charisma) passed away today. Cassie was an amazing part of my family and of Australian Dressage. She was Australian Grand Prix Champion in successive years in 1997 and 1998 at the Sydney CDI.
Even today she was looking after her grand-daughter. It’s pretty amazing to look out into the paddocks and see her two sons and two of her grand children.
What an amazing mare. You will be sadly missed by us all.
Thank you for the ride Cassie.
