Thanks to Equestrian Life.
Good News! Sandro Boy (Lyndal Oatley), Clive (Kristy Oatley) and Sancette (Mary Hanna) all passed their final inspections. Of the Aussie team Kristy is first to go on Day 1 (Thursday) and then Lyndal. Mary is drawn on Day 2 (Friday).
Here is the Grand Prix Draw:
Should be a very exciting competition with the medal placings going to be very close indeed I think. Watch Mary, Lyndal and Kristy give it their all – this is a great team and will do us proud. Not forgetting Rozzie who will be right there too and very much part of the team!
Which teams are going to win gold, silver and bronze do you think? And where do you think our team is going to place? Let me know!
If you need a reminder of how the olympic dressage competition works I have explained it if you click here.
Can’t wait!

Mary Hanna has posted an interesting article on her blog with an update on Sancette and their preparations for the London Olympics. Sancette travelled well and ariived safely but it took a few days for him to settle into his new stables at Frensham Manor, where the team will be training until they move into the Olympic Village.
Lyndal, Kristy and Rozzie arrive any day. Knowing them there will be some team bonding! Their first trip to the Olympic Village will be uniform day.

The training facilities at Frensham Manor are fantastic and the main house is beautiful.

Hi Everyone!
This announcement was made by Equestrian Australia today. Nothing final as yet it seems. Congratulations to all three nominees.
“EQUESTRIAN AUSTRALIA OLYMPIC NOMINATIONS
DRESSAGE
On Thursday 7 June, Equestrian Australia’s national Dressage selectors identified the three horse and rider combinations to be nominated to the Australian Olympic Committee for selection to the 2012 Australian Olympic Team.
The horse and rider combinations are:
Lyndal Oatley and Sandro Boy
Kristy Oatley and Clive
Mary Hanna and Sancette
Equestrian Australia’s nomination policy gives athletes 48 hours to lodge an appeal against the nominated team. Equestrian Australia can confirm that during that period, a rider has lodged an appeal which will be heard by an independent tribunal in due course.
During this time Equestrian Australia and the Australian Olympic Committee are unable to make further comment.
The Australian Olympic Committee will announce the Dressage team’s final selection.”
No date was given for the announcement by the Australian Olympic Committee.

Have your say…….what are your thoughts?
