Amazing Weekend at Sydney CDI with Silbermond

John Lieutenant Memorial trophyWhat an amazing weekend I have had with Silbermond.  Not only winning the Intermediate Freestyle but also being awarded the John Lieutenant Memorial Trophy – this award is presented to the individual horse/rider combination obtaining the best two (2) official scores.   Silbermond is a very special horse and we are having a lot of fun together. My huge thanks to his wonderful owners for allowing me the ride and for the incredible support they give me.

Here is the video of the freestyle:

Vale Yardley Charisma

Sadly my beautiful mare Cassie (Yardley Charisma) passed away today.  Cassie was an amazing part of my family and of Australian Dressage.  She was Australian Grand Prix Champion in successive years in 1997 and 1998 at the Sydney CDI.

Even today she was looking after her grand-daughter.  It’s pretty amazing to look out into the paddocks and see her two sons and two of her grand children.

What an amazing mare.  You will be sadly missed by us all.

Thank you for the ride Cassie.

Wonderful result for Albert at Sydney CDI

How excited and proud I am of Albert’s wonderful result today.  Even more amazing that this was only his second Prix St. George.  He coped so well in the bigger atmosphere of the Sydney CDI, a first for him and an important step in his development in dressage.

Albert CDI 2013 Prix St George

What a fantastic event the Sydney CDI is and an amazing experience for both riders and spectators.  If you can get along in the next few days your support would be really appreciated.

Rachael and Albert

Many congratulations to Sheridyn Ashwood and Prestige VDL with 68.85% in the Grand Prix – well done and a great result.  Looking forward to seeing more success for you over the next few days.

See you there!
