Father’s Day here in Germany

Yesterday we spent a few hours down at the “Aasee” in Munster. It is a massive man-made lake used for recreation and also International Regatta’s. A little chilly still, but we had a lovely walk around the lake and basked in the sunshine.

Of course coffee was a must. Many many locals at Aasee, as it was Ascension Day and Father’s Day in Germany. Another public holiday. The locals really do make the most of any good weather.

The last photo is of our friendly squirrel, who we have named Sam. Sam has been hanging around the house since we arrived. We have offered him a few nuts and he kindly posed like a professional, to allow a photo or two.

Happy father’s day……… especially to my Dad!

Go well!
